Lauren Gum and Logan Riley’s July 2025 wedding was the perfect blend of romantic elegance, thoughtful personal details, and relaxed summer celebration. Hosted at the beautiful Swan Lake Event Center in Powell, Ohio, their day showcased everything we love about Central Ohio weddings — stunning scenery, intentional moments, and a celebration that truly reflected the couple.
From a private lakeside first look to lilac-filled reception décor and late-night Chick-fil-A on the dance floor (um, yes please!), every detail felt so meaningful. We were honored to provide wedding catering for their special day and to be part of such a beautiful celebration.
Lauren and Logan began their wedding day getting ready on-site in Swan Lake’s parlor suites. Having dedicated getting-ready spaces allowed both sides of the wedding party to relax, settle in, and fully enjoy the morning without rushing or traveling between locations.
Before the ceremony, Lauren and Logan shared a private first look by the lake, surrounded by the venue’s peaceful landscape. The moment was intimate and emotional as they exchanged personal vows with only each other present.
These quiet, intentional moments are often couples’ favorites — a chance to slow down, connect, and take in the significance of the day, just the two of them, before celebrating with family and friends.
Lauren and Logan's ceremony took place outdoors, framed by lush greenery and the venue’s waterfall feature. Guests were seated with scenic greenery views, creating a naturally beautiful setting that required little embellishment.
The outdoor ceremony space truly caries a romantic and timeless charm.
The couple’s style was soft, romantic, and perfectly suited for a summer wedding in Ohio. Logan and his groomsmen wore light grey suits, while the bridesmaids stunned in long lilac gowns that beautifully complemented the venue’s greenery.
The lilac tones carried throughout the day, tying together the ceremony, reception décor, and floral design for a cohesive and elegant look.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the lakeside terrace to enjoy cocktail hour and a thoughtfully curated appetizer spread while taking in the summer views.

Pomegranate & Pistachio Goat Cheese Crostinis
Tomato, Basil, Caprese Skewers
Hudson's Edge's signature Candied Bacon
and butler passed Chicken Croquettes
The reception space was transformed into a romantic evening setting with white table linens and crisp white napkins, accented by tall lilac taper candles and beautiful white and lilac floral arrangements.

Pro Tip - expand the use of your gorgeous florals beyond the ceremony setting. Consider aisle arrangements that get repurposed as centerpieces on your guest tables, florals set at the base of your head table or even your welcome or dessert tables. Bridesmaids bouquets are also the perfect addition to a traditional head table, helping take your floral budget and make it work the most for you!
Lauren & Logan chose a plated-style dinner service, allowing guests to select their preferred entree while serving staff delivered meals to guests seated at their table.

Lauren and Logan’s three-tier wedding cake featured both chocolate and vanilla flavors, giving guests the option to choose their favorite. In addition to the cake, the couple incorporated personal favorites throughout the evening.
Signature drinks added a fun, personal element:
As wedding favors, guests were treated to assortments of the couple’s favorite candies — His: Starburst and Hers: Reese's Cups. A sweet and nostalgic touch that guests loved.
One of the memorable details of the day was the couple's guest book — a beautifully bound photo book featuring Lauren and Logan’s engagement photos, which were taken at Swan Lake Event Center. Guests were invited to sign their well wishes alongside the photos, creating a keepsake the couple will cherish for years.
As the celebration continued into the evening, guests were surprised with a late-night Chick-fil-A snack during dancing. It was the perfect way to keep energy high and ensure everyone stayed fueled on the dance floor — always a crowd favorite at Columbus weddings.
